Dear Readers,

I am glad to inform you that, I got two Awards for excellence in teaching at SGU. These Awards are Banfield Golden Apple Award for Teaching Excellence and Carl Norden - Pfizer Distinguished Teaching Award. These awards are given by voting by all vet students. These are my first awards in teaching and I am really excited. Earlier I have got several awards for my research work.

Its first time any Indian has got these awards here and also it is first time any teacher has got these two awards at same time.

I have posted some fotos from Award Ceremony held last week.

A case a week - new website for vets

Dear readers,

Me and one of my colleague Dr Saul, have started a new website named A Case A Week. You can visit this website at www.AcaseAweek.blogspot.com

In this series we will be posting a veterinary case every Monday and will ask readers to comment on the case about the diagnosis and line of treatment, or in general how they will follow the case. On the Friday of the same week will post our own follow-up about the case and will again ask the users to comment on this. Purpose of preparing this site is to share our experiences and generate good discussion for the benefit of veterinary community in general.

Users have options to subscribe the cases in their e-mail or on the reader websites.

Recently I have been busy in preparing a video on Brain Anatomy of Sheep. I have posted this video at www.vetvideos.com/brainanatomy.htm

This video explains about parts of brain of practical importance in vet medicine and their function. It also explains the cranial nerves and their functions. This information will be very useful in understanding the lesion localization for cranial nerve deficits. Hope all the students, vets and candidates for licensing exams. Launched New Video Website

Today I launched my new website www.vetvideos.com

This site has a lot of Veterinary Educational Videos including lectures by experts and many surgeries or other procedures.

Earlier this site was available in different domains and its address changed frequently in order to survive free of cost. But now I have started to pay for hosting this site and its domain name will remain static.

With new version I have added some new features to this site including Full Screen option for videos and inbuilt search engine. I will certainly strive to make my site more user-friendly and add new features.

In addition to this videos site I have prepared by own site at www.BangaVet.com, this site has veterinary educational resources at www.BangaVet.com/links.htm which include an extensive list of good veterinary websites on almost all the subjects.

All the resources on the above two websites are free of cost and are of very much help to practising vets, vet students and candidates preparing for veterinary licensing exams.

Hope you will like my collection of these resources for vets, and will vote for videos and give your feedback in my guestbook.
